I would rather die than bow to this demonic Nigerian Govt. My decision to move on is more personal than about any Govt. I’m not anonymous nor have I deleted any of my posts. I’m not hiding nor have anything changed with me. Everything is where it should. I only changed priorities.

A time comes when we must learn to move on to other things after exhausting energy preaching to people who just want to be entertained and not actually help themselves.

Any keyword you search on page regarding trending issues will bring hundreds of results. I have said this, done that, preached this, and suggested that. In fact, I find it insulting being told to repeat myself all over again. So if you want me to lend my voice on any topic, search that word on my profile and you’ll see what I said in the past about it — but nothing was done.

I have moved on, and someday, you’ll hit a brick wall and decide to move on as well. Until then, good luck!

Someone has come to the DM to ask a question they couldn’t control themselves from. She asked why I’m not concerned about my impressions lately. She’s been observing for weeks and noticing that I don’t get page traffic like before and it bothers her.

It is strange to me that an adult would worry about something like this. But as a seasoned content creator who knows her way around social media optimization, what is happening here is called Model Retraining or Machine Learning.

It means that the X algorithm boosted all my content to over 200k audience who followed me for Nigerian politics. Since I’m no longer discussing politics, the algorithm struggles to find an audience for my newest content type. They exist, but we just haven’t been paired yet or they are not so active here. So it will take a while (weeks to months) to retrain my algorithm.

I am not worried about losing millions of impressions because they never really mattered in the first place. I wasn’t happy when I tweeted about Nigeria, although people thought it was fun watching all the likes and impressions, but nope, I wasn’t. It was depressing to harp on a topic with no change in sight. I am happier going back to my shell and not getting “seen” if that’s what impressions mean.

In terms of monetization, X doesn’t pay for impressions coming from unverified accounts. If your audience doesn’t have blue ticks or don’t reside in countries where ad bids are higher, then your impressions don’t matter. You won’t earn much. I also had hundreds of thousands of followers like that on X. So in reality, I wasn’t getting well compensated for all those impressions.

I grow accounts from scratch all the time, from zero impressions to millions of impressions so I’m not worried. Two things could happen — it’s either all those who followed me for politics before unfollow me now to speed up the machine learning faster, or I get followed by new people who enjoy my type of content that doesn’t include Nigerian politics.

If it doesn’t work, then I might deactivate this to start a fresh account, but let’s see how it goes. I want audience who are interested in what I discuss — whatever the topic is.

I purchased a Canon SL3 years ago for a better picture quality, but when Nigerian election campaign came up in 2022, I abandoned everything to “contribute.”

Look at everything I abandoned.

Many of you started following me for politics so you didn’t know I had hobbies and things I loved doing before that. These things give me joy.

I don’t plan to return to politics anymore so today, I decided to dust off my
