@evolvable We use a managed Kafka solution and use it to at a certain scale, k8s is used to deploy consumers and makes it super easy to scale them.

@evolvable Well, funnily enough go advocates to not use libraries and the std lib is perfectly capable of hosting a micro service in itself, so we just use that. Yet, the most popular one I know is go-kit. Others are named like gin and martini :)

While in the real world, domains have fuzzy boundaries, but in the world of software, we want to reduce coupling between separate subsystems so that they can evolve independently.
