Final year mechanical engineering projects visited by IED judging panel during the Faculty of Engineering exhibition 2022, as part of the IED Malta Student Award Competition.
IED Malta welcomed on board new members. A presentation on IED activities and benefits of joining was delivered. Five testimonials talked about their experience of joining IED. A discussion on the opportunities and challenges in pursuing an engineering design career followed.
Design research projects carried out at the #UniversityofMalta were featured in an on-line panel discussion on Entrepreneurship, Technology and Innovation, as part of the Med-Tech World, which took place last week.

University of Malta has reached a #PRIMEVR2 project milestone this week: development of a prototype #user_profile_toolkit through which clinicians & designers are guided on the type of #VR_rehabilitation_controller most suited for the target user.
University of Malta and University of Strathclyde are working hard to outline a #testing_strategy to ensure that VR controllers adhere to relevant #standards in the #PRIMEVR2 project
When a product model exists in different variants, an efficient way to minimise the number of parts, inventory and indirect costs, is to make us of modules - #DFMA. In #PRIMEVR2, common modules will be designed so that they are interchangeable.
