The question must be who are the real criminals here because lets face it, the ambulance chasers have recently had their day assisting enemy combatants claim from the UK tax payer, the so called CCRC now doing their bit - no nothing has changed there either.

Why Body Cameras Are the Way Forward in Social Work

1. Records are not always accurate
Mistakes do occur in healthcare records, and they can occur anywhere. Body cameras provide an objective record of what was actually said and done.

2. Protects families from false allegations
Parents sometimes feel they have no way to challenge inaccurate accounts of meetings or conversations. A recording provides evidence rather than leaving situations to memory, interpretation, or conflicting reports.

3. Protects social workers from false accusations
If a social worker is wrongly accused of misconduct, intimidation, or saying something they did not say, footage can provide clarity and help establish the facts.

4. Protects parents from false accusations
If a parent is wrongly accused of inappropriate behaviour, intimidation, or saying something they did not say, footage can provide the same protection and clarity.

5. Encourages professional behaviour on all sides
Most people behave differently when they know there is an accurate record. That applies to parents, family members, and professionals alike. Cameras can reduce conflict rather than increase it.

6. Improves public confidence
Many people have lost trust in systems because important decisions often happen behind closed doors. Transparency helps rebuild confidence that investigations and interventions are being carried out fairly.

7. Better evidence for complaints and investigations
When complaints arise, investigators currently rely heavily on notes, recollections, and written reports. Video evidence can provide a clearer picture of what actually happened.

9. The technology already exists

Any system that holds significant power should not rely entirely on trust. Good systems build in safeguards. Body cameras are one such safeguard.

Body cameras are not a quick fix, but they are an achievable improvement that could make the system fairer, more transparent, and more accountable.

He sat in the waiting room outside the courtroom, going through the timeline in his head for the hundredth time. Not because he'd forgotten it. Because he needed to be certain he could say it exactly the same way, twice, three times, without a single word out of place. One inconsistency, even an innocent one, and it wouldn't matter that he was telling the truth. It would just look like he wasn't.

That's the part nobody prepares you for. It's not just defending yourself against an allegation. It's defending yourself against how believable you sound while doing it.

I wrote Nothing But The Truth because I kept hearing the same thing from men who'd been through this. The legal system doesn't ask "did this happen." It asks "who's more convincing." And the person telling the truth is often the one who sounds the least rehearsed, the most shaken, the least polished, exactly the qualities that can make a jury or a judge doubt them.

This book goes into what that actually does to a person. The hypervigilance. The way you start narrating your own life defensively, even in conversations that have nothing to do with the case. The exhaustion of being believable, on top of everything else you're carrying.

💥Notice how the police had NO system in place whatsoever to detect that she made ONE or even TWO false allegations, so they kept pursuing #3 to #10.

So the falsely accused and wrongly convicted are supposed to go away and keep quiet? No, they are free to talk about their experience however they wish. It’s not as if Meredith’s murderer has not been found and punished. It’s not as if Amanda is turning the murder itself into comedy. Justice has been served and Amanda Knox was traumatised too.
