Had the great pleasure of discussing all things related to biliary disease with one of the leaders in robotic HPB surgery, Dr. Adeel Khan! @WashUSurgRes @WashUSurgery #WashuMed

Excited to work on Global Cancer Disparities Initiatives at @MSKCancerCenter in collaboration with @ArgoResearch! 🌍 Grateful to @drpeterkingham and @VikkiMango for giving me this opportunity! #GlobalSurgery #SternFellowship

Survived my first one😤. I have to say, the turnout of volunteers, organizers, supporters (some with hilarious signs) and spectators was phenomenal. The community really rallied behind this event and made it as lively as it was - so special thanks to everyone who could make it!

My dad and my uncle passed away from medical complications on the same day (5 minutes apart) last week. This has been an indescribable loss for my family, but we know that the brothers have each other.
Please send prayers & help us celebrate their lives

If you're reading this, you've been challenged: make someone's day by doing an empathetic & thoughtful act of kindness at least once this week. Please do so in honor of those affected by the events of 10/24 in our beloved city, St. Louis #StlStrongChallenge 💪🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Being able to stand opposite my attending with no trepidation to do an emergent case that saved a lady's life made me reminisce about the path from starting out as a clueless intern over a year ago to now😂💪🏿 #LeftySurgeonsCanOperateToo #PGY2life

This 22 yo pre-med student correctly identified someone's undiagnosed skin cancer AT A HOCKEY GAME. Just graduate her already...

[NYT Science @NYTScience]

Nadia Popovici had volunteered at hospitals and studied enough to detect that the red-brown mole on the back of Brian Hamilton’s neck was cancerous. But as she sat at a hockey match, she had to decide how to best make sure he knew. https://t.co/BHqtNNPNgl

Congratulations, Dr. Klingensmith!!🎉

This BRILLIANT phenom is changing the world and reinventing our approach to surgical infections...at 17🤯. Go ahead, Dasia!

[Goodable @Goodable]

This is Dasia Taylor.

She invented a new type of suture that changes color to show if a wound is infected.

She won the state science fair, became a finalist in a national competition, and now has her sights set on a patent.

She's only 17.

[Howard University @HowardU]

“#HowardU now sends more African-Americans to medical school from our undergrad campus to medical schools than any other institution in the country. This is a very important point, especially when we look at the pandemic–we certainly need more Black doctors.” - @HUprez17 #HUHC20
