Nigerian youths don’t hate politics. They hate being used.

Every election cycle, suddenly:
•Politicians start speaking “our language”
•Old men start saying “my fellow youths”
•Rice, 5k transfers and campaign shirts start flying around

After elections?
Silence.
No jobs.
No transparency.
No accountability.

Then when youths complain, they say:
“You people are lazy.”
“You don’t understand governance.”
“You are just on social media.”

But here’s the truth:
This generation is the most politically aware Nigeria has ever had.
We fact-check.
We analyze budgets.
We track promises.
We compare policies.

The problem is not apathy.
The problem is trust.

You can’t keep recycling the same faces, the same excuses, the same failures and expect a different reaction.

Nigeria doesn’t lack smart young people.
Nigeria lacks leaders that fear consequences.
