It is sad to report that Commercial Farmers at Igangan Agro Park (Oyo State) lost over 50 acres of maize and 30 acres of cassava farms to the malicious destructions of herdsmen.
Also, one of the commercial farm's staff was attacked and wounded by the criminal herdsmen

The threats had been on for over a year with more influx of herdsmen with attendant over night grazing/farm destructions. The insecurity situation is getting worse around Ibarapa especially the farming communities of Eruwa, Igboora, Ayete and Igangan.

1 wonder why their herds never reduces?
Cattle still enters abattoir daily from up north?

Is this difficult for herders too to apply for lands & graze their cattle?

In our own case, can anyone explain why herdsmen will leave over 5,000 ha of green glass lands within the Agro Parks to destroy 1,000 ha of crops?
