my mom was telling me today that there's no disappointment when you accept things or people for what they are. but you don’t always have to cut people off when they don’t meet your expectations sometimes you just have to adjust the relationship + accept their capacity.

“Pray for people you've hurt in the past when you were too immature to be in a relationship. We know God healed us from bad relationships, but sometimes people haven't moved on from the scars we gave them”.
Phew.
A QUICK MEDICAL EXPLANATION:
(If you travel on planes, go swimming or you are also affected by what mr macaroni wrote, pls come close and read this lifesaving message).
What Mr Macaroni is describing here is medically called “barotrauma”. This is also called “airplane ear”.
Barotrauma is a medical term that refers to injuries of the ear and ear pain that a person may suffer due to sudden changes in air pressure when they are on an airplane, (or sudden changes in water pressure if the person goes scuba diving or deep water swimming in sea or swimming pools).
Common symptoms of ear barotrauma are: Ear Pain,
Difficulty hearing;
Feeling nauseous or vomiting;
Ears feeling full, blocked and stuffy,
A need to yawn and “pop" your ears;
In severe ear barotrauma, you may:
Have total hearing loss;
Feel the room is spinning;
Feel very dizzy and lightheaded,
Have bleeding or clear fluid coming from the ear, which can mean you now have a ruptured eardrum.
How does ear barotrauma happen?
Without complicating it, barotrauma happens due to sudden changes in pressure around a person when the airplane is about to take off or land.
The ear is a hollow organ that has gas within some of its tubes that helps to maintain the pressure within the ear, and ensure the eardrum is functioning well for you to hear properly. Now when the air pressure around you changes suddenly, this causes the gas in the ear to occupy more space and cause a feeling of blockage/pain in the ear. This is basic physics/chemistry. It’s called Boyle’s law.
The law simply says gas inside a hollow chamber takes up less space when outside pressure is high and the gas takes up more space when outside pressure drops like when you are on a plane. I hope this is a little clear.
What can you do to treat barotrauma?
Whenever you are about to go on an airplane or deep swimming;
Chew a gum;
Wear earplugs;
Try to yawn till ears feel ok;
Suck hard on lollipop/candy/sweet;
If these methods above don't work, use your thumb and two fingers to pinch your nostrils closed, close your mouth and then blow out air through your nose while keeping your nostrils closed. This will pop open your ears and that ear blockage feeling should go away.
(Don't blow too hard, and stop as soon as one ear pops. If you blow your nose too hard, you can tear your eardrums, which can cause hearing loss, so please do this carefully.)
In conclusion:
Barotrauma is mostly not a dangerous or lasting problem. It tends to go away on its own within a short time.
However if you get ear bleeding, hearing loss, severe ear pain, repeated vomiting, unable to stand or walk, please go straight to your doctor.
I hope this short explanation has helped. Please if you read and learnt something, kindly retweet and share so it can help someone else too.

#WOFBECChangedMyLife
We have held @WOFBEC for 11years now. I was asked to mention any two testimonies I could recall.
One had to do with personal healing. A couple testified about their daughter been born with a whole in her heart. The second was a gentleman who had his call rekindled and went back to the city, Enugu, where he once led a campus fellowship to start a church which is today thriving.
