IMHO there’s two levels of professional opportunities for young photographers: the work they feel confident they can execute smoothly and the work that pushes their boundaries usually offering a chance to showcase their potential at a higher level.

The concept of readiness often involves a mix of technical skills, creative vision, and even emotional maturity to handle the pressures of more significant projects.

Both opportunities need to exist for growth and cultivating your career but I would personally say only a “select few” are presented in this manner to begin with unfortunately. Smh
