@otokyo If my darn good job we’re talking above and beyond, maybe $10 — which is over 30% of the pre-tax price. Strictly did their job but had a good attitude — $6.94. Still 24%. Absolute suckage … $35 total. It will more than cover their tip out on this dish.
@theamelia__ A few thousand of these. Not as fast as knocking the tub over or pulling the plug, but by far the most amusing while simultaneously being the most irritating.
@soulshakedowner@sarah_talley_@vxylily A lot of jobs are paid at minimum wage — including retail, entry level office staff, etc. it doesn’t make it ideal, but Canada did start servers at the same wage as many other jobs that don’t require higher level degrees or programs. Most servers I know do the job for the tips.
I’m not one to make politic posts … but I felt the need to make this one. I’m saddened by the divide that has formed between Canada and the US. Right now it feels like we’re all the children in a really nasty marital spat. We are not our governments. And I hope we remember that.
@ZubyMusic@LibertyCappy Expectations are the same in Canada where servers make the same minimum wage as everyone else. Servers here quite often make considerably more than their customers, especially the good ones.
@cabinwoods2 @HazelAppleyard_ The images don’t clarify if it was her egg or not. Surrogacy can involve either the surrogate’s egg or the intended mother.
@lauren___mullen That one was sad. I love the little community tidbits though … like when they talk about a daughter who visits her parents, or how family all came to town for a birthday. Stuff we don’t see anymore.
