In the Copenhagen interpretation, measurement collapses the wave function. Reality stays probabilistic until observation forces a definite outcome. Campbell connects this directly to consciousness: the physical world is a multiplayer virtual reality computed by a larger consciousness system. Your body is the avatar. Your consciousness is the player receiving a personal data stream. Our reality is almost certainly a simulation.

Nothing is rendered unless an observer needs the information. The brain itself is not even rendered unless someone opens a skull and looks. Turn your head and the previous scene stops being computed for you, just as a video game only draws what the player is currently facing.

This is efficient computer science applied to existence. Probability until measurement. Collapse upon observation. Mind involved in the rendering.

The same principle that explains the double slit experiment also explains why the world feels solid only when you engage with it.
