My nephew is neurodivergent, and seeing the struggles my brother and his wife have gone through raising him is making me really sensitive to attacks on Gus Walz.

On that note, I'd like to remind you that Betsy DeVos slashed funding to help special needs kids.

My brother had gotten his son into a really good school, and then it had to shut down because of the lost funding.

My brother has been struggling to find a place where the kid likes going and responds well since then. It's really hard to fathom how much of a negative impact this had on the entire family's life.

People miss how many real-world lives Trump damaged with his policies.

We have always fought for hope over fear, fought for light rather than darkness, for love over hate. We are actually shocked that the Democrats figured this out and are using it. We've always preached love over hate in many ways. It's interesting that they finally figured it out and aren't holding back - usually they're pretty passive. It's always better to push empathy and compassion rather than fear and hatred.
When you understand empathy and compassion, fear and hatred become boring and weak. This is why people are realizing how weak MAGA and Trump really are. If you need to use hate and fear to push your politics, you're on the wrong side. Hate and fear are motivators for the ignorant.
When the MAGA cult is no more, we will definitely make sure that the Democrats stay on the side of the people.
