As a first time mother this is my take on "Pregnacy is a death sentence"

From my experience, I had a very peaceful pregnancy/delivery. I even joke about it with my friends that "ah, if all my pregnancy will be like my first one that I am ready to born up to 20 children" Lol. Which I am grateful to God Almighty, for such a successful experience.

The fact that I had it easy doesn't mean another woman is exaggerating when she says pregnancy almost took her life. And the fact that another woman had a traumatic delivery doesn't mean pregnancy will be traumatic for everyone.

Two things can be true at the same time.

Because I had a good experience doesn't mean I should use it as a standard for judging other women.

We don't all have the same bodies, medical experiences, support systems or journeys into motherhood.

Rather than going back and forth, Let's celebrate women who had easy deliveries, celebrate & embrace women who had difficult ones, and advocate for a world where no woman has to risk her life to become a mother. ❤️

APC'S DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO CONSTRICT DEMOCRATIC SPACE AND MUZZLE OPPOSITION MUST STOP - NDC

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is sad to note that the desperate attempt to constrict the democratic space and muzzle the opposition is on the increase.

The NDC has not just been a target of violent attacks by agents of the ruling and ruinous APC, it has become a soft target of discrimination by hoteliers and the hospitality industry in Abuja.

On two occasions, Rockview Hotel in Abuja after agreeing to the use of their facilities for our meetings without genuine excuse cancelled the grant in the last minute of negotiation.

The first time it happened was when at the last minute they rejected our request to hold our 2nd NEC meeting in June, 2026.

Only recently, they refused our utilization of their facilities for a meeting saying it was order from above.

Similarly, the BON Hotel, Wuse, Abuja bluntly refused our usage of their facilities for a meeting despite meeting all conditions placed on our path.

Also, the recent unveiling of our National Campaign Council (NCC) did not happen without drama from the hospitality industry in Abuja.

At the last minute, our host called the party to refund the payment made, saying they were no longer interested in making their facilities available, perhaps based on threats and orders from above.

However, our refusal to bulge inevitably compelled them to allow us the usage of the facility we have paid for.

This is not democracy. The APC should allow all parties to campaign without let or hindrance, and give Nigerians the opportunity to make their choice on who governs them.

In addition, we implore all well meaning Nigerians and lovers of democracy to call out Rockview and BON Hotel for their anti-people and anti-democratic actions.

Nigerians deserve better, and NDC is prepared to serve with passion and patriotism.

A New Nigeria is POssible! We can do it.

It's embarrassing watching Americans who think they won but have just broken their government to spite one man. Shallow thinking at its finest.

What these midterms simply mean is that the people who hate borders are back in Washington. The people who sympathize with terrorists and jihadists are back.

Every anti-American who wishes death on America is having a wild celebration today.

This is not a Donald Trump loss; it is a catastrophic loss for the USA.

Uninformed people are a crazy, shallow-minded bunch. Trump Derangement Syndrome is so clear.

They are celebrating, but none of them can actually comprehend what Trump wanted to achieve for the USA.

It is understandable for Islamists and foreign enemies who hate America to cheer this on, but it is pure foolishness for Americans. Trump is the lifeline of the USA.

Trump remains President, but he is walking into a complete trap with a hostile Congress. He cannot pass a single law or bill because the opposition will block everything out of pure spite.

His hands are tied on appointing judges and cabinet officials because the Senate will block his picks, and he won't be able to close big foreign trade deals or secure funding because he needs their approval for everything.

An electorate voted to paralyze its own country just to stick it to one guy. Peak emotional instability.
