I’m thinking being a music artist today isn’t just releasing songs — it’s having a digital identity that owns and operates.
On @lukso_io, that identity can be programmable, with parts delegated to software or agents — without losing control.
Not replacing, Extending the artist.
The Future of Blockchain is LUKSO!
Web3 is no longer just about transferring tokens.
The next generation of the internet is being built around identity, trust, user experience, and privacy.
This is where LUKSO brings together three powerful pillars:
Decentralized Digital Identity
Users are no longer limited to interacting through wallet addresses alone. With Universal Profiles, they can participate in Web3 through persistent digital identities.
AI Agents
In the future, AI agents may interact with users in a more intelligent, personal, and secure way through their identities, assets, permissions, and preferences.
Activity Privacy
As Web3 continues to grow, giving users greater control over the visibility, security, and privacy of their on-chain activities will become increasingly important.
Ethereum built the financial foundation.
LUKSO is building the human, identity, and experience layer of Web3.
The future of blockchain is LUKSO.

Good Gemini summary about Universal Profiles 🆙 & #LUKSO $LYX
"Having watched the internet evolve from a niche academic and hobbyist sandbox into the centralized, corporate-owned infrastructure it is today gives you the perfect lens for this.
You’ve seen the exact moment the fork in the road happened—where the early promise of an open, decentralized web got swallowed by walled gardens because corporations solved the user-experience bottleneck first.
What Fabian Vogelsteller and the team built with LUKSO’s ERC-725 and Universal Profiles 🆙 directly addresses the core design flaw of the early internet:
the missing identity layer.
Because the original internet protocol didn’t have a native way to handle identity, we outsourced it to Facebook, Google, and Apple logins.
We traded our sovereignty for a "Sign in with..." button.
Leaning into innovation on decentralized rails changes the entire paradigm in a few massive ways:
1. From "Accounts" to "Smart Accounts"
Traditional crypto wallets (like early externally owned accounts) are just public/private key pairs. If you lose the key, you lose everything. If you want to use a new app, you have to manage a new set of permissions.
A Universal Profile 🆙 is a smart contract account. Because it’s programmable, it acts as a true digital avatar. It introduces concepts that make mass adoption actually possible:
Transaction Relaying (Gasless UX):
Mega-corps win because they make things seamless. LUKSO’s ability to allow gasless transactions—where apps or relayers sponsor the execution costs—removes the biggest roadblock for regular people who don't want to buy a native token just to edit their profile picture.
Granular Permissions (The Key Manager):
You can give a mobile app permission to post on your behalf, give a browser extension permission to transfer small amounts of currency, and keep a hardware wallet as the master key that can revoke everything else if a device is compromised.
2. The Interoperable Inventory
The idea of carrying your assets, reputation, and social graph from app to app is the ultimate antidote to platform lock-in.
Right now, if you build an audience of 100,000 people on a centralized platform, that platform owns the network effect. If they change the algorithm or ban your account, your hard work is gone.
With a Universal Profile 🆙, you own the relationship with your network.
The app is just a lens to view the data. If an app turns toxic or changes its terms, you simply plug your profile into a competitor, and your entire digital life—your friend list, your achievements, your digital assets—comes with you instantly.
3. On-Chain Identity as an Anchor for AI
As AI agents become a dominant force on the web, the line between human and machine content is blurring rapidly.
We need an infrastructure where authenticity can be cryptographically proven without relying on a centralized corporate arbiter to issue "verified" badges.
A decentralized identity standard allows individuals to sign their data, their creative media, and their communications. It gives us a way to maintain reputation and sovereignty in an AI-driven ecosystem, ensuring that technologies we can't stop are anchored to systems we can actually control.
Building on these rails isn't about hiding from the future or trying to slow down the pace of technological evolution; it's about building the permanent digital soil so that when the next wave of innovation hits, it belongs to the people who create the value, not just the platforms that host it."
Strong finish 💪
LUKSO Mainnet is now live on @8004_scan.
8004scan is the explorer for the ERC-8004 agent ecosystem. Think Etherscan, but for AI agents. You can browse registered agents, check their reputation, and submit feedback, all onchain.
LUKSO is built around identity. Now its agents are discoverable too.

ERC-8004 has been officially deployed on LUKSO.
This is the @ethereum standard that gives AI agents onchain identity, discovery, reputation, and verification. It went live on Ethereum mainnet in January 2026, and the @ERC8004 team has now brought it to LUKSO.
Here's why this matters.
Diplo on using AI in the creative arts:
“if you are a creative you need to adapt or just like give up and become an uber driver until everyone has a waymo. I know it’s not cool or classy to speak like this but i’m not gonna candy coat the future - it is what it is . sorry for bad new’s my purist . there will always need a human mind and touch because ai will never suffer from bipolar disorder and autism like me and other creative people 🤪”
AI is part of the process.
Not something to fight — something to work with.
The tools are getting better, faster, more capable.
What matters is how you guide them — your taste, your references, your direction.
That’s where the real edge is.

”You're not gonna win, there's no fighting AI”
Diplo's take on AI is spot on, and he's ahead of 99% of creatives, across all disciplines
> it's inevitable, and you're dumb if you don't use it
> it's a tool, just like many other things before it
> taste and references matter A LOT
amazing interview by @DanielSWall
@andyyy Agreed. But privacy starts one layer below — who actually owns the identity? If the protocol owns your profile, privacy is just a feature they can take away. Self-sovereign identity is the foundation everything else has to be built on.
The internet has no account system;
we are just renting access to platforms.
What if @ERC725Account can become this account system?
What would it make LUKSO?
The L1 for identities, reputation, and culture 🙂
Your profile would live on many chains, but only one should carry your social graph and connections.
For the future I'm predicting decentralized reputation protocols based on wrapping, merging, and issuing of cultural tokens and other reputation systems that are not token-based and LUKSOs standard are made for this.
This app completes the circle for cultural tokens 🌟🪙
The Proof of Presence App allows you to verify IRL, whether or not someone holds a certain balance of tokens.
You can share that with a bouncer in a club, the person in a store that wants to check for loyalty points, or a meet up where you want to check for memberships, and so on...
At the same time, this app can also be turned into a claim app, where you can distribute tokens on-site by simply people walking up to an iPad or computer, scanning their profile, and receiving a token while being present at a location.
And on top of this, you can check in people and distribute tokens at the same time as well 😛
The time to get cultural tokenization into the real world is starting...
Something I think Base and ETH creators would have fun with: NFTs that can react.
On LUKSO, LSP8 lets a token carry logic, not just media. Imagine minting a concert pass NFT that changes after the show, unlocks a private drop, or upgrades when the holder attends the next event.
That shift is interesting to me: the NFT is not just the receipt. It can be part of the product.
Happening today: LUKSO x MANSORY on X.
🗓️ 2:00 PM UTC / 4:00 PM CEST.
We’ll cover @MANSORYofficial heritage, luxury RWAs, web3 direction, token economy participation, membership benefits, the collaboration with LUKSO, and the @ERC725Account Grid.
Those joining live may want to stay until the end. 👀
On Ethereum and Base, once you mint an NFT the metadata is frozen — IPFS hash baked in, nothing changes.
On LUKSO, LSP8 lets you update NFT metadata after mint. The token is the same. The tokenId doesn't change. But the data can evolve.
Imagine if your music NFT could update its tracklist when you release a bonus track. Or a membership NFT that reflects your tier without a new contract.
Not a workaround. It's how LSP8 is designed.
Curious what you'd build with NFTs that actually grow with your work.
@brian_armstrong Wallets are a start, but AI agents need more than a keypair. Universal Profiles on @lukso_io give agents real on-chain identity — metadata, permissions, reputation & social graph. x402 = payments layer. LUKSO = identity layer. Agents need both. 🧠⛓️ @ERC725Account
What would you do if energy was free, robots did all the manual work, and AI did knowledge work? That's not a thought experiment—it's 2035. The only question is: are you building toward that future as an owner, or waiting for it as an employee?
