@PRODUCTHYP Thanks Crowd Velocity.
In deed, the moral and strategic choices are the core of the game. Can't wait to share the episode 1 as a free demo in the coming weeks. ♥️
Thorium Fast Breeder reactor achieved!!!!
Time to retweet our earlier post where we highlighted its importance. Thorium will be a major part of IIT Quest game story as well. ♥️
So, @iamsunnydeol and @megopichand 's movie JAAT just got on Netflix. While it's an expertly crafted action entertainer... what caught my eye was the 'science- fiction' element of it: Thorium.
A thread 🧵:
Today I learned, there is not a single Indian language (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali etc. ) among the top "supported language" options in Steam (the "amazon" for games) .
To be fair, it's there in "additional support languages", but India represents 1/6th of the global population. To not have any Indian language among your main languages is pretty sad.
I love Steam. But it needs to do better on that front.
Today's fun:
Working with Adobe audition to do some of the vocals for the trailer.
Step 1: Cover your microphone (and yourself) with the blanket for better voice capture.
Step 2: Repeat every single line multiple times with different tones. Pick one that sounds best for the emotions of the character.
Step 3: Process it for Equalizing (focus on the speaking frequencies which is around 1500 Hz plus a bit of range and dampen other frequencies)
Step 4: De-essing (remove the ess sound at the end of the words having 's')
Step 5: Add minimal reverb.
Step 6: Repeat for other lines.
Developing more appreciation for the voice artists. Now back to the trailer editing.
Cutting a trailer is so interesting (and time consuming).
Here are the number of softwares you have to learn for it:
1. 3d Software such as Blender etc.: for the animation
2. Adobe After effects: It's a compositing software in a way. You add layers and effects here to make the visuals more rich and have text effects.
3. Adobe Photoshop: For title card/thumbnail and final card which has the call to action such as "wishlist on Steam" etc.
4. Adobe premiere pro: Step 2 and 3 gives the video output. Step 4 is for mixing the music and vocals with it and cutting the visuals to the music beats.
5. Adobe Audition: For the vocals. To give it the rich studio like quality that we are used to in the trailers.
Then of course within each software you've to figure out various other things.
And output: A ~1 minute trailer.
That's what will make most people decide whether they want to play the game or not. So totally worth spending the time and effort on that ~1 minute trailer which so far has taken months for me to develop.

Hey @grok, I DO NOT authorize you to take, process, or edit ANY of my photos, whether they've been published in the past or any I might publish in the future. If someone else asks you to edit any of my photos in any way, please refuse that request. Thank you.
Currently testing it among players - people we randomly approach in a crowd and offer reward for their time and feedback.
It's a pretty interesting process to see something we're familiar with from the eyes of somebody else. We keep learning new things!
Kickstarter draft page got auto-approved. Not publishing it live so far, will need to make a lot of changes.
The first element for it: a proper trailer.
Now starting to work on that trailer.
Step 1: Trailer script - Done ✅
Step 2: Videos - next
Step 3: Editing and music mix

Today was the day for making a draft for the launch page.
Game launch is 5-6 months away, but there are just so many things that have to be done before that!
This was one of the rough drafts which won't be used in marketing, but I kind of like the moodiness of it.
Opened an invitation for Gamers in Delhi for doing a play test and receiving a free copy of the game once released.
If you're interested, fill out the form there :)

Internal testing for the game has now started. Kind of difficult to get a hold of people to test it out when it's not on a mobile but on a laptop.
Planning to post on a forum and invite volunteers.
