Satan thought poverty will make Job curse God, so that was his aim.

But Satan wanted Jesus to turn stone to bread and satisfy His hunger. Satan wanted Jesus to be fed just so that He can rebel against the word.

Seriously,

Satan doesn't really care if you're poor or well fed.

He just wants you to reject God and be cut off from eternal life.

Understand the enemy's devices.

Don't think your riches is proof that your soul is safe and that God's grace is with you.

Don't also think that your poverty is proof that God has abandoned you.

It's not about your material state. It's about the state of your soul.

In riches and poverty, in sickness and health, in fame and obscurity, how is your soul?

Some wear their Christianity like a costume.

It's just a thing they wear around to look a part. It's not who they really are.

It's by their fruits you'll know those who are really christians and those claiming to be christians.

And the fruits are of the Spirit. No man can bear the fruit of the spirit without the Holyspirit.

For example, love is the fruit and it means to will the good of a person for the person sake.

The good of men is to know God and be reconciled with Him. It is the view that every man carries God's image and has value irrespective of his material station.

No man can will this kind of good without the Holyspirit. And this kind of love is the fountain from which kindness, goodness and gentleness spring.

Faith in God is only by the Holyspirit. No man can say Jesus is Lord but by the Spirit. It is faith in a trustworthy God that produces Forbearance till the end, faithfulness despite trials and self-control in temptation.

Joy is from the knowledge of salvation, what God accomplished for us.

Peace that passes human understanding is by the Holyspirit opening the eyes to God's promises and calming storms in the heart.

"By their fruits, you shall know them", says the Lord, over and over.

It is by fruits of the Spirit we may know God's children.

NOT GIFTS.

For on that day, there will be some who may have manifested gifts in His name for one reason or the other, by God's sovereignty or by the faith of God's children.

But God will tell these miracle workers...

"Your name is not in this book of life. I don't know you. Gettat!"
