@davidhogg111 Yep, that’s the entrenched American mentality. Don’t think about getting rid of guns; arm more citizens, so they can confront the other citizens with violence. They are utterly desensitized to it.

@davidhogg111 The country needs to start by tearing up the Second Amendment. A nation founded on violence and conflict will stay married to violence and conflict until it redefined the principles on which it’s based.
@Jcorbin81@davidhogg111 After every mass school shooting, you renew the debate about rules around gun ownership. But no one ever even considers the suggestion of eliminating guns. It isn’t even a thought. So on it goes. And on it will.
@davidhogg111 Very well said. I am currently in a debate with several Americans who are religiously praising the second amendment and claiming that gun violence there is “rare,” which boggles the mind. It feels impossible to have a reasonable discussion, because they so love their weapons.
