Something similar happened to my family. They told use there was a high chance of chromosome abnormalities. We went to the genetic counseling and listened to what they had to say. We went through with the pregnancy. My child is normal, well very high IQ and quirky, but perfectly healthy. She is the best child a parent could ask for.

But you don’t pay any taxes on those gains unless you are receiving the stocks as pay when they vest. Also it is a one time payment when you sell and then you get a break when it is long term capital gains. I’ve paid the taxes on my unrealized property tax gains 26 times already and it will never stop.

My house is my largest investment and it has gone up $200k in the last 6 years. This has caused my yearly tax payment to go up about $400, which I have to pay every year. This is taxing on unrealized gains. This is one thing I agree with @BraddrofliT on. I would much prefer a consumption tax over property tax since I consume less as I get older. Having to pay tax over and over on an unsold asset is ridiculous and doesn’t make much sense.

I survived having -$20 at the end of the week for at least a couple of decades STRAIGHT... I can remember purposefully going negative in my account on a single transaction just to feed the kids because I was getting paid soon and the bank then running all the transactions starting with the largest first and turning that into 9 $30 NSF fees and then taking half my check. She needs to grow the fuck up.

Do you really think the voters "stole the country's wealth"? Lady, the uniparty machine has been looting America for decades, printing trillions, offshoring jobs, opening borders, and inflating the dollar into nothing. Boomers and Gen X didn't design that disaster. Politicians, bureaucrats, and their donor class did. Most of us just showed up, worked our asses off, paid the taxes, raised families, and trusted the system.

You're out here defending zoomers who expect McMansions, six-figure remote jobs right out of college, daily avocado toast, and a pain-free life, lifestyles Gen X and Boomers couldn't even dream of in our 20s and 30s. We powered through recessions, stagflation, and real hardship without blaming our parents' entire generation like entitled children.

Blaming Boomers for the crimes of the ruling elite while carrying water for spoiled zoomers is peak hypocrisy. Grow up, stop scapegoating your elders for problems created by the permanent political class, and aim your anger where it belongs. The incentives reward betrayal. Voting "better" won't fix a rigged system. Reality isn't optional.
