महाराष्ट्र में 5 बजे के बाद 76 लाख वोटों की पोलिंग दिखाई गई। इस पर सवाल उठे। शाम पांच बजे तक मतदान प्रतिशत 58.22 था। अगली सुबह आखिरी आंकड़ा आया 66.05 प्रतिशत। यानी 7.83 प्रतिशत की भारी बढ़ोतरी, जो करीब 76 लाख वोटों के बराबर है।

RTI में पूछा गया कि कितना वोट पड़ा, रिकॉर्ड दीजिए। चुनाव आयोग ने कहा कि उनके पास इसका कोई रिकॉर्ड नहीं है। न लोकसभा का, न विधानसभा का।

अब सवाल है कि नियम के बावजूद रिकॉर्ड क्यों नहीं रखा? नियम क्यों तोड़ा गया? रिकॉर्ड नहीं रखा तो अगले दिन वोट प्रतिशत बढ़ाया कैसे?

वोट चोरों! जवाब कब दोगे?

The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly witnessed massive uproar on Friday after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah moved a resolution seeking the immediate restoration of full statehood to the Union Territory.

The tabling of the resolution drew strong protests from BJP MLAs, who objected to the reference to a controversial resolution passed by the erstwhile state Assembly in 2000.

The opposition legislators stormed the well of the House and clashed verbally with members of the ruling National Conference, with the disruption escalating to fist fights.

Lawyers Association For Constitution writes to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant raising concerns over the manner in which Noida DM Medha Roopam's petition was listed.

The Association alleges that her petition was "specially assigned to a particular bench" despite the prevailing roster.

Highlighting that Medha Roopam is the daughter of the Chief Election Commissioner, the Association says preferential treatment to a matter sets a wrong precedent.

"The special listing before a particular bench has not enhanced confidence in the judicial process," the letter says.

The Association also flags the muting of the live procedings.

The issue is regarding the petition filed by Medha Roopam challenging the Allahabad High Court's order criticising her for ordering the detention of a student under the National Security Act in connection with the Noida workers' protest, and asking her to pay Rs 5 lakh compensation.
