Video Games Europe lobby group (including Ubisoft) is hosting a discussion on consumer policy on video games with the EU Commission, but no one has been invited to represent consumers. This is likely an attempt to sink the ECI, but we have backup plans.

@RE_Games Whoever runs these accounts for CAPCOM games. You did great last time with the Diana hacking one. But this one… mate, it’s like that meme with the brands trying to blend in some fandom. I care about Resident, Pragmata, MH, etc. not about some username on a game I don’t care.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book has been out for less than a day.
It’s already clear that some of the early mainstream reviews completely missed what this game is actually trying to do.
A few critics seem to have gone in expecting constant action or high difficulty and then docked it for being exactly what it promised:
A calmer, more curious, and deliberately gentle experience.
One even admitted their kid didn’t feel like playing and used that as part of the verdict.
That’s not reviewing a game, that’s reviewing your own expectations.
I’ve spent proper time with it now and I’m finding it genuinely rewarding.
The creature system and notebook mechanics give it a rhythm that’s different from most platformers, and it actually feels like it respects the player’s time instead of padding things out with artificial challenge.
It’s not for everyone.
But the people calling it “for babies” or claiming it has no depth clearly didn’t engage with what’s actually there.
My full review is up on Squish Turtle (link in bio).
For those who have played it, are you finding the slower pace refreshing or are you wanting more bite from it?
