Unpopular opinion: Jonah didnt survive three days in the belly of the great fish—
it wasnt a refuge; it was a tomb.
Most people picture Jonah chilling in the belly of the great fish for three days perhaps humming a psalm or two. Thats not what the text describes.
Read Jonahs own prayer from inside the fish:
“I called out to the Lord, out of my distress…
From the belly of Sheol I cried and you heard my voice…
The waters closed in over me to the point of death;
the flood surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head;
I went down to the roots of the mountains;
the earth with its bars closed upon me forever…
yet You brought up my life from the pit, O Lord my God.” (Jonah 2:2–6)
He prays from Sheol—the Old Testament place of the dead. He says the waters took him “to the point of death.”
Seaweed wrapped around his head and the earth barred him in forever.
Thats not a guy whos just uncomfortable. Thats a man describing his own death.
So yes—Jonah died in the belly of the fish.
The miracle wasnt that he survived for three days.
The miracle was that God raised him from the dead when the fish vomited him onto dry land.
And thats exactly the sign Jesus pointed to:
“But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation craves a sign; and so no sign will be given to it except the SIGN OF JONAH the prophet; For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” (Matthew 12:39-40)
Jesus didn’t say “as Jonah lived in the fish…”
He pointed to Jonahs death and resurrection as a sign of His own.
Jonah died. God raised him.
Jesus died. God raised Him.
Thats the parallel—not a three day aquarium stay.
The sign of Jonah isnt survival.
It’s resurrection.🙏
Hi! I'm Fiyin, a Bible teacher. It's yet another sunday morning
It's time for sunday church meetings
The very essence of church meetings is building up the believer who in turn builds the church
We mustn't focus on being blessed alone and not on being a blessing
It's already three services this month
Can you review your activities in church
Any new member in church via your effort?
Any person attending the new converts /foundation school/membership classes through you?
Any increase in your giving?
Did you add anything substantially to your department?
Did you assist one with material needs?
Did you minister or prayed with any church member through this month?
Have you been attending church prayer meetings?
What about mid week services?or are you a sunday sunday member?
Do this review today and ensure you make adjustments.
Don't forget to take your church notes and call up or pick up invitees for today's service(ensure some one new attends today!)
Don't forget to pray for pastor and all ministering this morning and the pauline prayers for your self too!
Have a blessed service
I will too
I call you blessed!
I wish someone had told me this when I started…
Most people think the goal will satisfy them.
Finishing school = satisfaction.
Get the job = satisfaction.
Buy the car, build the house = satisfaction.
But human beings have a funny weakness: satiety.
We crave it so badly, yet we’re never truly satisfied.
The moment we touch one goal, another appears.
It’s why some people get the promotion and still feel empty.
It’s why some people hit the weight loss target and still don’t feel “enough.”
I’ve learned that satisfaction is not an outcome; it’s in the process.
It’s not in the “done”; it’s in the “doing.”
That’s the same mindset I carry with Aproko Doctor and AwaDoc.
We didn’t build them to be “done deals,” like Fabrizio Romano would say.
We’re building them to keep moving, keep learning, and keep serving…
Because health itself is not a destination, it’s a journey.
So if you’re waiting for the next milestone to feel “full”…
Pause.
Look around.
This moment you are in is the real win.
Learn to enjoy the process properly.
𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬?
As a homebody, I’ve heard this a million times.
But what if I told you…
Aside from finishing my third concert of the day,
I now recreate the exact imagination in my head?
I hang out, explore art galleries, dance at parties, even go car shopping,
all without leaving my room.
For every party you invited me to and I didn’t show up…
Best believe I was throwing a better one at home😂

Examples:
Causative verbs: take, make, kill, destroy (active).
Permissive verbs: allow, tolerate, grant, endure (passive).
Thus, verses like “You are cursed” or “I will multiply your sorrow” do not involve God issuing judgment but stating consequences.

✝️ 30 Days of Glory: Soteria Season 12 (Part 14 - Day 12).
Part 14 takes us deep into the language, structure, and theology behind Old Testament narratives, especially in Genesis 3–4 and Ezekiel 14, to expose a vital truth: God is not the cause of evil. Man is.
We begin by learning that Genesis to Malachi was written in Hebrew, specifically a cultural-linguistic mode called Hebraism.
#30DG2025 #Soteria12 #AbelDamina
Unlike English, Hebraism does not distinguish between causative and permissive verbs. This is crucial.
Many verses that sound like “God did this” are mistranslations, where God allowed something, not caused it.

Just because you are eternally saved doesn’t mean you won’t go to kirikiri if found guilty of raping people.
You and your eternal salvation will wear prison uniform and your life will be wasted there.
If you think sins have no earthly consequences, you don’t deserve to be a bible teacher.
Jesus’ forgiveness cancels eternal consequences of sins on your behalf but you can still lose your mind if you start taking meth!
You can still lose your business if you do business with fraudsters .
You can still lose your marriage if you are sleeping around.
You can still lose your church if your immorality gets the better of you!
Satan may have lost you for eternity but he can destroy you in time!!
Stay sound!!
