@the_transit_guy @Hy0rt No. "It's not just about population" means it's not just about the per capital rate. Distance is important. In Montana you need more stores per person than New Jersey as folks can't drive 100 miles to get milk.

...and 8 hours was apparently not long enough to put the right plane at the gate so as we were starting to board they've delayed it another hour to 9am (a 16 hour delay). 😒

@united delayed flight UA395 EWR-SFO - app says boarding at 5:25pm, now 5:34pm and zero United personnel at the gate and hundreds of confused and frustrated passengers.

For posterity... After several small delays we finally boarded at 8pm ish... After the entire 777 was aboard and we waited a while we were asked to deplane at 9:30 with a new departure time of 12:15am. Then past 11pm they delayed us to 8am. No announcement, just a text. #FML

@jhoffner @united Two more Ubers and a night in a hotel far from the airport because of course by the time they delayed the flight to the morning everything was booked. I feel super bad for the families and that group of 45 (amazingly well behaved) teenagers! What a nightmare!

@united Thank you for the reply but the issue was actually the lack of humans at the gate. One agent eventually showed up and was thoroughly overwhelmed.
