Maybe it's due to some setitngs at my end, but I didn't had time to debug this. After googling to disable this setting, I gave up and fixed the bug in vim. I then updated BigSur to Monterey to get amazing @code work.

My initial experience with @zeddotdev are not positive, sorry. @code stopped working on my Big Sur, and I needed to fix a small bug quickly, so immediately downloaded @zeddotdev. Annoying bit: file formatting on save. I was unable to disable it.
