@JaneQuaife @SwimBikeRunMdW @MikScarlet @BBCLondonNews You receive your CVI as severely sight impaired or sight impaired from a consultant ophthalmologist then you can choose to register with your local authority and receive a card with your registration. At least that’s how it worked for me.

Israeli military have been urging hospitals & Int’l orgs in northern Gaza to rapidly relocate people to the south & airdropping leaflets. This is virtually impossible: w/no transport children, sick & older people, pregnant women, persons with disabilities can’t make this journey.

I need plastic straws to drink particularly away from home. I can't use reusable alternatives. I'd been using biodegradable ones but most melt in hot drinks or break in transit. Not the biggest issue but being stuck without a straw causes me stress that wasn't there a few yrs ago

This footage shows people trying to cross cycle lanes at floating bus stops and having to dodge e-scooters and bicycles. Imagine trying to do that if you don’t see very well or you don’t see at all.

Blind and partially sighted people are as important as people who ride bicycles. Floating bus stops are denying visually impaired people safe access to bus stops.There has to be a better way to keep all citizens as safe as possible when getting about.

Petition on safety & accessibility at bus stops handed in @10DowningStreet supported by 160+ organisations on Tuesday. We want bus passengers to get on & off the bus directly from the pavement, without having to cross or step into a cycle lane. Petition also handed in for new PM.

Totally support making transport cleaner and greener in our cities but not at the expense of blind and partially sighted citizens. We shouldn’t have to choose between environmental, access and safety issues.
