@theo You just need to hire someone to fix your CI pipeline.
Windows on ARM is fine. It’s in pretty good shape.
I prefer my Snapdragon Surface to any Windows laptop I’ve owned before.
been seeing the posts about automatic hdr switching on windows. added this to game mode this week: hdr on when the game starts, back to normal when it closes
@marthaelax@Chris123NT fair but for me the trade off is having extensions, file search, notes and the rest in one app. if you only want a launcher, i can see why that feels like a lot, but thats a different app
@Kyre1a Yep, Rust is fun. About the localization, that's a good call actually, because it did happen, but I am pretty sure I fixed it in the follow-up PR
@tommoor I am pretty sure it's a Windows thing, because I can reproduce it by just alt-tabbing quickly during the switch. It does heal itself when you unfocus the window though. Has to do with the focus change during the transition
I think we can do something about it
Maybe worth giving it a shot. It should work a lot smoother if you had that bug.
About WinGet, I actually rewrote the extension we already had a few months ago. I went the CLI route, but only because COM didn't expose package pinning and a few other things.
We also added Rust support for Windows extensions. It compiles into an executable that your extension calls, so you no longer need to resort to stuff like PowerShell just to access native Windows APIs. Did you try that one?
@Chris123NT Appreciate the response. We sit around 430MB median now, I believe, but yeah, I get that. The v1 native version on mac was somewhere between 200-300. We’re cheaping away towards that over the past few updates
