Yours truly earlier today at Tintern Abbey, where Iron Maiden filmed the video for "Can I Play With Madness", on the day of Bruce Dickinson's birthday of all days.
(Yes, that is a @burningshednews t-shirt).

This is a piece of embroidered work my step mother produced several years ago. I love it. It is inspired by a decorative mount in the shape of a stylised seahorse, adorned with filigree curls. It forms part of the Staffordshire Hoard - the largest hoard of Anglo Saxon artifacts ever found in England.
It was found in 2009 with a metal detector in a farmer's field. The hoard had around 4000 pieces of gold and silver artifacts.
Isola Sacra, a man-made island with significant Roman ruins 20 miles from the center of Rome,
Though its ancient Roman necropolis and harbor aren't household names, it's every bit as fascinating as the better-known Roman monuments in the city center.

A photo I took that captures the anarchic, manic energy of the @TimBowness concert last night in Bath. And I loved every second of it (and the Jaffa Cakes too).

"Billy was just the craziest person I'd ever met. It was so charming and so beautiful to find somebody like that. He wasn't acting. It was just him."

@CSMFHT In the 80s, The Aenid was also the inspiration for a stage production featuring a soundtrack by Litfiba, soon to become on the biggest Italian bands, though they would never compose anything this splendid again.

@TimBowness@liverpoolphil My photo don't do justice to a such a memorable concert. After the performance, someone who saw you live for the first time told me: "now I understand why you travel from Italy every time Tim Bowness plays live".
Thanks to everyone who attended the @liverpoolphil Music Room co-headline show this evening (with Bruce Soord & Jon Sykes). It was a delight to play with Butterfly Mind once again. A lot of energy and a lot of contrast in a very nice venue.
Thank you Martin Sutton for the photo.
'When asked what The Associates are about, Billy stares at the ceiling for quite some time. He finally answers:
"Writing songs that people can identify with. It's all about identification. As soon as songs can inspire people and help them realize their ideas, then it's good."'
@HellenisticPod@sanstitre2000 I am Italian. I have visited the MANN several times over the last few years and I have never managed to see the Alexander mosaic. Ditto the Winged Victory in Brescia.
At least I finally managed to see the Chimera in Florence in March.
