Again,
Ladies and gentlemen, once you deliver your baby, please check to see that both testes are in the scrotum.
If you don't know how to check, get your midwife or an experienced mother to show you.
A child should not be seeing us fir the first time at 6 years with bilateral Undescended testes.
At that point, the chance of infertility and risk of cancer is increased.
Please.
A junior doctor in the casualty asked me: "Sir, two patients just arrived. One has a BP of 200/120, the other is at 80/50. Who do we prioritize first?"
My answer: Go look at their faces.
A House officer is a medical doctor who has passed all IV parts of their professional MBBS exams.
Has a degree certificate from a university.
Has 2 licenses, A Provisional medical practicing license and an Annual Practicing license.
A House Officer is not a Student Doctor.
In 2017, only 30 something percent of us passed.
Not because the people that failed were not intelligent, but because the exam had no structure, no scope.
It was also a fail one section, fail all the exam then.
As someone who had written licensing exams in 4 different countries where their doctors are respected globally, I can say Nigeria is the Worst.
For the objective, I believed I pulled through because I made friends with final year medical student of University of ilorin- we wrote the exam in Ilorin. I reviewed their syllabus. A lot of their past questions was repeated because it was their lecturers teaching us that set the questions.
Based on what we were taught, that exam was abstract.
Also I need to add that I probably passed because I understood how the system works, because I had a degree in Nigeria earlier.
The reviewing of past questions is Illegal in other countries. They don’t give them their exam questions to go home with.
So someone that never had a university experience in Nigeria won’t even think of that.
The oral was one question, if you fail it, you’ve failed the whole exam
The OSSCE was also 1 question in parts; you don’t know the diagnosis, you’ve failed it all.
In other countries I’ve been to, when a large percentage of people fail an exam, it’s a call for review of the exam and the processes to see what’s wrong.
In Nigeria, people failing makes the examiners think they’ve done an amazing job.
There’s a lot of things wrong with that country and I’m glad I could take a fresh breath.
PS: A number of people that failed Nigeria Medical IMG exam passed USMLE 3 steps within 6 months.
They weren’t the problem, the system they were trying to excel in was.
After 22 years of being mocked for not winning the league title, it’s now been 22 days since Arsenal won the premier league title.
To put that into perspective, it’s been 3 weeks and 1 day.
Dear Senator Henry Seriake Dickson @iamHSDickson
While I take my time to properly address your allusion of me not playing by the rules which I consider very disingenuous seeing how I followed the process and even when you had insisted there would be no primaries for senate I let things go and asked my teeming supporters to focus on the bigger picture, I toured the FCT pacifying my supporters and party people who rightfully felt disrespected as they were all waiting at their respective headquarters for primaries that never happened. (I played field politics, I never waited for anyone to give me ticket), I would like you as the National leader to watch this video again!
This part of the interview was so painfully appalling to watch. It looked as if you were insecure and in competition with your Presidential Candidate. Your first one on one interview after primaries and instead of selling your candidates and giving confidence to people on how set the road to winning the 2027 election was, you made it about yourself.
With all due respect sir, it looks as if you consider the NDC a Special Purpose Vehicle whose aim has been achieved just by being registered instead of a Political Party whose aim is to win the 2027 General election decisively!!!! The registration of NDC should be a means to an end and not an end in itself.
As a leader of a Political party, your number one job in that interview was to pacify aspirants many of whom are rightfully aggrieved and secondly to call on supporters to bear with the party and support it but you ended up antagonising the very people you would need to win election. Every vote counts! A leader must stoop to conquer!
No one can take away your leadership of NDC, no one is interested in that! The focus is on Nigeria is winning the 2027 election!
It looked as if you are fighting a war no one is waging with you. You don't have anything to prove to anyone, just lead! It is also interesting how as a leader i see you shifting the blame with any process that doesn't go well or is called out. Even in this statement below, you did! Take all responsibility! The party is young. It was overwhelmed. Mistakes will be made. Accepting the mistakes and being accountable is how the party will get better.
There is a whole battle ahead of us. Rescuing Nigeria from the current state it is in, should be the main focus not people's fragile ego!
Let me round up with some words from Jim Rohn: IF WHAT YOU DID YESTERDAY IS STILL LOOKING BIG TO YOU TODAY, THEN YOU ARE NOT DOING ENOUGH!!!

They said we betrayed Arewa when we picked Peter Obi for president because he is Igbo.
Now they're picking Ngozi, who's also an Igbo, to be Atiku's running mate.
It seems Kachallah and his minions only value the Igbos when they contest as deputies.
What a shameful thing to do.
