A really dry January.
The pumping of polluted water has stopped for now. As a result of this the gullies, and ditches and road are now clear.
The lake in the quarry is now increasing everyday.
The 2nd part of the case is due to be heard on Jan 30/31st in Kilkenny.

Locals directly affected talked about the impacts on their daily lifes namely road closures, flooded properties, excessive noise, dust & domestic wells that have now run dry.

There is going to be a meeting in Conahy Shamrocks GAA club next Wednesday Dec 13th @ 8pm to discuss the ongoing problems with the quarry at Lismaine and the road closure.

Even though road closed signs are in place some try to get through.
This car didn’t, and had to be recovered.
The road is closed because an unregulated quarry pumps millions of litres of polluted water very day.

This is the result when water is allowed to be pumped 24/7 from a quarry with no regard for anyone else.
And these fields have never flooded in living memory.

It just gets better, the quarry operators tried to erect a telescopic CCTV camera system tonight on the public road near the entrance.
You have to question the motives here.

Detours in place. And @kilkennycoco input is to put up road signs despite knowing about this for years.

@illegalquarry 300 meters down steam of the flood. No where for the water to go the river and actual flood plains are full but the water keeps flowing
