Working in aviation while building an aviation apparel brand has made me realize something:
Pilots, mechanics, dispatchers, crews, avgeeks… we all speak the same language.
V1 is for the people who never really leave aviation at the airport.

Spirit’s collapse left dozens of bright yellow jets scattered around the country. Picking them up is the job of repo men with a special set of skills. https://t.co/dS8lxX7aNO
A fantastic tribute to Spirit and the amazing people who made the place what it was.
https://t.co/fd7KKPZjf6 is raising funds to help Spirit families who may need a little help in the coming weeks or months. Our aviation community can be of great help if can each just donate a small amount.

Co-founder @big_jenergy and myself have temporarily pivoted from our primary mission to temporarily raise funds for Spirit families who may need some help in the coming weeks/months. If you can spare even a few bucks for the cause, it will be a blessing to many aviation families. Thanks to @V1AIRWEAR for the quick changes on the website. https://t.co/eNvYA2zAYj #spiritairlines #spirit #avgeeks #aviation
Some might say I’m piggybacking off @CaptBob_Nomadic’s success.
And to that I say… correct. That man spent years building altitude, I’m just catching the tailwind 🤪✈️

Heart broken for all the Spirit employees. Working hand in hand with them all weekend and they truly have been so easy and willing to help get the job done.
Our business has increased this week, but it's not the kind we like to see.
From the human POV, it is sad to see so many good people out of work. After working with several Spirit pilots through the weekend, they have proven to be one of the best pilot groups that I've worked with. I can relate to what they are going through. I have been through 5 airline closures myself (it’s why I started this business over 25 years ago) and been involved in more repo situations than I can remember. It can feel like the death of a close friend or family member. I am empathetic to what they are going through.
From the business POV, it is low-margin, high-touch revenue. It’s hard on cash flow, takes a tremendous amount of time and resources away from other projects. This is a difficult and expensive situation for our clients. They are taking heavy losses and expending significant cash to repossess the aircraft. We have to be respectful of that and operate as efficiently as we can. No price gouging just because they are in a vulnerable position. It's why clients stick with us for decades.
if casey wasserman doesn’t step down, i will not remain with the agency
his actions do not reflect the integrity of the agents i work with, and if change does not happen, we will take our talents elsewhere
