This article is a good read. It gets to the root of the K-pop industry and states that K-pop's true future isn't being shaped by charts or hype, but by the conflict between HYBE and NewJeans.

NewJeans' sidelining has become a test of whether K-pop values artistic innovation, or top-down corporate control.

Right now, the message K-pop sends to the world is one of top-down corporate control. The more an industry silences the very artists who connect global audiences through genuine artistry, the more creatively stagnant it becomes. What remains is an ecosystem preoccupied with power, rigid rules, chart performance, and manufactured hype, a system that grows louder, yet increasingly hollow.

The Financial Supervisory Service’s Capital Market Special Judicial Police (FSS Special Investigation Unit) has launched a forced investigation into HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, who is accused of fraudulent unfair trading.

According to the reporting on the 18th, the FSS Special Investigation Unit carried out searches over two days at Bang’s residence and office.

Bang is under a comprehensive investigation regarding allegations of fraudulent unfair trading. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated that the case against Bang, accused of violating the Capital Markets Act through fraudulent unfair trading, is in its final stages of investigation.

According to the police, Bang is suspected of deceiving existing shareholders during the process of buying shares prior to HYBE’s 2019 IPO. Although the company was preparing to go public, he allegedly misled shareholders into believing the listing would be delayed.

Additionally, Bang is accused of directing the sale of shares held by a special purpose company (SPC) established by a private fund involving HYBE executives. The private fund was reportedly set up by an asset management company funded by HYBE executives.

The investigation into Bang’s activities is currently proceeding along two tracks. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency began its inquiry in December of last year, and in July, the prosecution instructed the FSS Special Investigation Unit to investigate the case regarding Bang’s alleged unfair trading.

Even though the police investigation is nearing completion, the FSS Special Investigation Unit’s forced action is interpreted as a need to examine additional matters beyond what was confirmed during the police investigation.

The Financial Supervisory Service stated, “The details of the Special Investigation Unit’s investigation cannot be confirmed.”

금융감독원 자본시장특별사법경찰이 사기적 부정거래 혐의를 받는 방시혁 하이브 의장에 대해 강제 수사에 나섰다.

18일 본지 취재를 종합하면 금감원 특사경은 전날부터 이틀에 걸쳐 방 의장의 자택과 사무실을 대상으로 압수수색을 실시한 ��으로 확인됐다.

방 의장은 사기적 부정거래 혐의와 관련해 전방위적인 수사를 받고 있다. 서울경찰청은 자본시장법상 사기적 부정거래 혐의를 받는 방 의장 사건이 최근 수사 마무리 단계에 접어들었다고 밝혔다.

경찰 수사에 따르면 방 의장은 2019년 하이브 상장 이전, 기존 주주로부터 주식을 매수하는 과정에서 당시 회사가 상장 준비를 진행하고 있었음에도, 상장이 지연될 것처럼 기존 주주를 기망한 혐의를 받고 있다.

또 방 의장이 하이브 임원들이 관여한 사모펀드가 설립한 특수목적법인(SPC)에 보유 중인 주식을 매각하도록 한 혐의도 제기됐다. 해당 사모펀드는 하이브 임원이 출자해 설립한 운용사가 조성한 기획 사모펀드인 것으로 알려졌다.

방 의장 관련 사건은 현재 두 갈래로 진행되고 있다. 서울경찰청은 지난해 12월부터 수사에 착수했으며, 검찰은 지난 7월 방 의장의 부정거래 고발 사건을 금감원 자본시장 특별사법경찰에 수사 지휘한 상태다.

경찰 수사가 마무리 단계에 접어들었음에도 금감원 특사경이 강제수사에 나선 것은, 경찰 수사 과정에서 확인된 내용 외에 추가로 살펴볼 필요가 있다고 본 데 따른 것으로 해석된다.

금감원 측은 “특사경 수사 내용에 대해서는 확인되지 않는다”고 말했다.

하이브가 335억원에 인수한 미국 PR회사 태그PR 대표가 동료에게 보낸 문자입니다. 미국 뉴욕 남부연방지방법원에 증거로 제출됐습니다.

태그PR은 유명인을 상대로 비방 사이트를 만들고, 검색엔진을 조작해 악성 콘텐츠가 상위에 뜨도록 하는 회사입니다. 법원에 제출된 소장에 따르면, 이 회사가 공격한 피해자 7명 중 한 명이 민희진 씨입니다.

2024년 9월 11일 뉴진스 멤버들이 "민희진 대표 복귀시켜라"고 요구하는 라이브 방송을 했습니다. 그 직후 태그PR이 움직였습니다. 빌보드 기자에게 민희진 씨에 대한 부정적 자료를 보냈고, 9월 27일에는 민희진 비방 사이트가 개설됐습니다.

이 사이트에는 "민희진 범죄자", "그녀를 믿는 것을 멈춰야 할 때" 같은 문구가 도배돼 있었습니다. X 비방 계정도 만들어졌는데, 등록 주소지는 SM엔터테인먼트 본사였습니다. 마치 민희진 씨의 전 직장에서 공격하는 것처럼 위장한 겁니다.

태그PR과 하이브 아메리카는 같은 사무실 주소를 썼습니다. 하이브 아메리카 대표 스쿠터 브라운이 이 회사 설립을 지원한 정황입니다. 실제로 태그PR 직원들은 문자에서 "적어도 스쿠터 이야기는 안 나오네 그래도"라며 안도했습니다.

하��브는 직원 6명, 자산 106억원짜리 이 회사를 왜 335억원에 샀을까요. "누구든 묻어버릴 수 있는" 능력에 그만한 값어치를 매긴 걸까요.

배우 블레이크 라이블리가 하이브 아메리카에 소환장을 발부하자, 스쿠터 브라운은 대표직에서 물러났습니다. 하이브 홍보 담당 부사장은 뉴탐사에 "스쿠터 브라운은 잘렸다"고 말했습니다. 하이브는 태그PR 지분도 전량 처분했습니다. 335억원 들여 산 회사를 1년 만에 손절한 겁니다.

キム・ジョングン弁護士は、その所属事務所も注目を集める。キム弁護士は法務法人リハンの共同代表弁護士だ。

代表弁護士は5人いるが、そのうちの1人であるイ・スンヨプ弁護士は、現政権との関係が深い人物だ。

警察は昨年12月にパン議長の捜査に着手したが、約1年が経過した現在も捜査を続けている。

通常であればこの段階で検察に送致するのが一般的だが、送致できないのか、しないのか、事件を抱え続けている。

5回目の召喚調査が終わってから、また通常は起訴���前に行わ���る追徴保全が認められてから、すでに1か月ほどが経過したが、進展は伝えられていない。

一般的ではない状況だ。

事件の難易度が異常に高いからなのか、それとも元高官の盾が異常に強力だからなのか。

法務法人リハンのキム・ジョングン弁護士は
「すでにキム&チャン法律事務所が約1年間対応してきた状況で、私は8月初めに合流した」
「ひたすら法的対応に集中している」
と話した。

「防弾弁護団」という指摘についてどう思うか、という質問には
