Today, I had the honor of joining @GovernorHobbs as she signed HB 2720 into law, an important step forward in Arizona's fight against human trafficking.
Months ago, I testified in support of this legislation and worked alongside community leaders and state lawmakers to help move this effort forward.
Thank you to State Senator @FlavioGBravo and State Representative Selina Bliss for their leadership in championing this bill through the Legislature.
Together, we are holding buyers accountable, supporting survivors, and making our communities safer.
Thank you @GovernorHobbs for vetoing HB2460, which would have prevented Phoenix from enforcing our abandoned shopping carts ordinance. I worked to ensure businesses & residents were involved in the process to keep neighborhoods clean and sidewalks safe.
The summer heat is here in Phoenix. @RepGregStanton and I are working to keep residents safe and cool. Visit https://t.co/jR0f2CenD6 to see the resources available to the public, including a network of cooling and heat respite centers.
I was proud to join @RepGregStanton, my Council colleagues and @PHXFire Chief Duran to celebrate upgrades to Station 46 in Ahwatukee. Thanks to Rep. Stanton's advocacy, we received $850,000 in federal funds to renovate the station and improve firefighters' health and wellness.
Today I joined MayorGallego, my council colleagues, and Congressman Greg Stanton in Ahwatukee as we announced an $850,000 investment to modernize Fire Station 46. These upgrades will improve sleep areas so our firefighters are rested and ready to respond.
A good morning in Ahwatukee as @RepGregStanton and I announced a $850,000 investment to modernize @PHXFire Station 46. This will help upgrade the dorms so our firefighters can get better sleep to be ready to answer emergency calls. Thankful for Rep. Stanton’s partnership.
Welcome news: the state budget pauses sales tax credits for new data centers.
Neighborhood coffee shops shouldn’t pay higher tax rates than data centers. This revenue supports services like @PHXFire.
Thank you to @GovernorHobbs and the State Legislature for taking action.
I implore @GovernorHobbs to veto HB2460. Abandoned shopping carts create blight, block sidewalks, and pose safety hazards. Since implementing our ordinance, we've seen a 94% reduction in abandoned carts. Thank you @azfamily for covering this important community issue!

🚒 Welcome to #PHXFire Station 74!
Today, we officially opened the doors to Phoenix Fire’s newest station in the Ahwatukee Foothills. Built at the base of South Mountain and designed with both the community and firefighters in mind, Station 74 is ready to serve.
Team Ansari out exploring public transit this week!
Started at Downtown CityScape Hub, took the light rail to El Tacazo then hopped on the electric bus at the South Central end of the line.
Grateful for the support, @RepYassAnsari !

We’re expanding housing options so Phoenix seniors can live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. Yesterday, we broke ground on Helen Drake Village right next to the Helen Drake Senior Center, with activities and programs just steps from residents’ doors.
We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.

Let’s make sure Arizona remains the # 1 destination for advanced manufacturing 🌵🏭

📢HB4030 / HCR2052 couldn’t come at a worse time. There are so many bad parts to this half-baked legislation, but let’s start with the impact on our water future.
💧As Arizona seeks to find long-term water sources, these measures would handcuff municipal water providers at a critical juncture. The legislation freezes local flexibility when cities & towns need it most.
Voters elect mayors and councils to manage local utilities and budgets, and can hold them accountable by voting them out of office.
Freezing rates now doesn’t stop costs; it just delays them in a punitive way. HB4030 and HCR2052 remove local control, jeopardize critical infrastructure investments, and impact public safety funding. ❌VOTE NO!
