Few months ago on a vistara flight I watched the movie “Before Sunrise” a romance drama, where just the two lead actors talk throughout the night, hopping various cafés parks in a European town.

Today I watched the sequel “Before sunset” the same two lead actors who meet again after 9 years, discussing that fateful night, again talking throughout the movie. Just the two of them.

The sheer power of writing. Holding your attention. Utterly beautiful. Recommended.

You may drink, smoke, engage in multiple sexual relationships, practice open relationships, frequently use emergency contraception, choose not to marry or have kids, etc; that's entirely your personal life. We have no right to comment or pass judgment.

However, if you share these aspects on social media as some sort of 'flex' or a revolutionary act, you knowingly or unknowingly influence others, especially the young. This is when the matter transitions from being personal to social. People then step in to offer an alternative perspective on the image you're projecting, because it's crucial for the youth to be aware of all facets of a situation before they get influenced by it.

This tweet is not specific to any particular incident but a generic reply to those who write such things as 'flex' and then play victim, 'It's my personal life, why am I being criticized for the same'. Social media is called 'social' for a reason. Whatever you post here is open to social commentary, both positive and negative, not counting abuse or harassment.
