@chamath There are 4000+ higher ed institutions and we are talking about 100s of billions of the fixed costs, annually. A centralized platform can provide much better IT/administrative support in a cost effective way.

@chamath What cause sky-high costs/tuitions is two part: fixed cost and variable cost. Each higher ed institution pays 10s-100s millions on fixed cost, salaries, administrative overhead, IT… while teach a handful of students per class.

@Recode @voxdotcom 1/4 I’m 1st-gen Chinese American. My parents & siblings are in China. I use WeChat daily to chat with family, friends and neighbors. One neighbor and friend of mine is a vehement supporter of 6/4 movement, blacklisted by WeChat. He can still use WeChat in the US.
