i think one of the purest things about loving someone is wanting to do things for them without secretly keeping score. wanting to cook for them simply because you want them to eat something good. making something for them because you know it’ll make them smile. pulling them into your arms because you want them to feel safe. washing their hair because taking care of them feels natural. being around them because you genuinely enjoy their presence, not because you need anything from them. there’s something so beautiful about caring for someone simply because you love them.
