This 12 year just finished his third internship @Wealthsimple (his other two were @cohere and @Shopify).
He’s in his 3rd year studying CS at Waterloo.
He enrolled in college when he was 9 years old 😳
@mustufa4socials apps or interfaces. Not your mom, not your neighbor, not even most founders.
People outsource everything they can. Software will be no different.
The winners won’t be whoever can generate interfaces. It’ll be whoever controls distribution and makes things easiest to use.
@mustufa4socials That’s platform leverage.
Same thing with apps. Apple decides what APIs exist, what gets access, how payments work, and what UX is allowed. That shapes winners and losers more than people admit. The bigger miss in this article is behavior. People aren’t going to build their own
Togi explains that the REAL risk in life is taking no risk at all…
“The real risk in this life is not taking the risk because you only get one life… It’s not ‘oh I’ll take the risk later’ because your window of opportunity gets aggressively smaller as you get more hardened into the system“
The longer I am alive the more I realize happiness is an extremely dumb concept because if you have it, it is fleeting (like creativity) and you can't grasp it for long
I guess the definition of happiness in our language is the problem too, and everyone trying to get something so fleeting and ungraspable is the other problem
I agree that purpose/meaning is much better to aim for because that's systemic and becomes part of your daily routine
And ironically that gives you happiness
People looking for happiness are usually unhappy!
