Instead, Tim Walz and Keith Ellison let the cash spigot run wide open — $300 million in child nutrition funds evaporating into luxury cars, overseas real estate, and shell companies while fake meal sites claimed to feed children who never existed. Add to that potentially $9 billion in Medicaid dollars flagged as high-risk for fraud across 14 separate programs.

This isn’t incompetence. At this scale, with this many warnings, with whistleblowers retaliated against and silenced — this is architecture.

The House Oversight Committee’s 200-page report, “The Cost of Doing Nothing,” doesn’t just document failure. It documents a deliberate choice: protect the narrative, protect the political coalition, protect the system — and let the taxpayer burn.

The excuse? Fear of “discrimination accusations.” That’s the official reason payments kept flowing to Feeding Our Future even after the Minnesota Department of Education identified serious deficiencies. A lawsuit threat claiming racism — and the state folded like a lawn chair. Not a court order. Not an FBI directive (the FBI explicitly told investigators they never told Minnesota to keep paying). Just the threat of bad press.

Now, JD Vance, leading the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, has formally referred both Walz and Ellison to the DOJ’s new Fraud Division for criminal investigation. His words: “Minnesota state officials are not above the law, and if they facilitated fraud, lied under oath about what they knew, or harassed and intimated whistleblowers, they must face justice.”

Sixty-three convictions and counting in the Feeding Our Future case alone. The largest pandemic fraud scheme in American history. And the people who were supposed to guard the vault were holding the door wide open.

The GAO estimates that $233 billion to $521 billion is lost to fraud annually across federal programs. Minnesota just became the poster child for what happens when identity politics meets zero accountability.

Justice isn’t partisan. Theft is theft. Cover-up is cover-up.

Lock it all down.
