मिजोरम और गोवा के बाद त्रिपुरा को देश का तीसरा पूरी तरह से साक्षर राज्य घोषित किया गया.

एक एजेंसी के मुताबिक राज्य की साक्षरता दर 95.6 प्रतिशत तक पहुंच गई. शिक्षा मंत्रालय ने UNESCO के दिशानिर्देशों के अनुसार किसी राज्य को पूरी तरह से साक्षर घोषित करने के लिए 95 प्रतिशत का लक्ष्य रखा है.

It is fascinating to encounter ancient writings in the Tirhuta/Mithilakshar script. Thanks to Arvind Jha Ji.

I am curious to know the historical reasons behind its decline, when, why and how the Maithili script gradually faded from common use, and why Maithili began to be written primarily in Devanagari.

While you notice that neighboring regions such as Bengal continued using their own script, and similarly Odisha and others retained theirs, while Maithili did not.
