When Montag is running across the street and almost dies, but gets saved because he fell i think symbolizes his fall from society. He fell because of his curiousity and human nature which caused him to leave the city before it was bombed saving his life in the end. #aplac2

I think the fact that everyone who was considered "model citizens" died in the end is a call to everyone that conforming to society will kill your individuality. Unlike those who stand up for their beliefs and rights-who end up free and at peace. #aplac2

The moment in the forest when the men tell Montag that they are not important and that Montag is no one, reminded me of 1984 when they told the main character that their part in the fight against the government was meaningless. #aplac2

@White2004Honda1 I think Montag disassociates himself from his actions by blaming his hands. He think that he couldn’t possibly do some of the things he is doing so he blames his hands as part of his denial. #aplac2

The moment when captain beatty is describing his dream to him and faber is in his ear telling Montag not to listen and to be careful was a moment of good vs evil. I was imagining an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other just like a stereotypical cartoon tv show. #aplac2

I think when montag describes himself as two people- the old man and himself- the ways of government is still acting on him. By seperating himself -only part of him has succumed to the curiosity while the rest of him is still the same fool he was before. #aplac2

I think the fact that mrs. Phelps seemed so happy and upbeat- yet was so quick to cry after the poem shows how fragile and superficial everyones happiness truly is. #aplac2

When they are describing the history of fireman and book burning- they said Benjamin franklin was a famous one- shows how their government is changing history which is similar to 1984 where it is Winstons job to edit history to the will of the party. #aplac3
