@vsBCCI@xansonfilm@imPatrickT@flodyssey Part One was presented in 1.90:1 in addition to 1.43:1, hence the Filmed for IMAX tagline both sequels would end up using.
Part Two is the one that ended up mastering a 1.43 version using shots cropped in from 1.90 shots, even Part One did to a lesser extent
Denis Villeneuve and Linus Sandgren had anamorphic lensmaker Atlas Lens hand-craft a custom IMAX lens designed specifically for ‘DUNE: PART THREE.’

Greig Fraser used newly designed vertical-squeezed anamorphic lenses to achieve the 1.43:1 @IMAX ratio on the Arri Alexa 65 camera and its native 2.11 sensor, leading to vertical flares and unique bokeh in the image.

@GodzillaCheeze@livforszobo@InDepthCine 1.90 = always digital presentation via Xenon / dual Xenon OR 4K laser / 4K dual laser projection
1.43 = either film presentation via 15/70 projection OR digital presentation via 4K dual laser projection
CORRECTION
Dune: Part Three was shot on a combination of 5-perf 65mm film, 15-perf 65mm, and digital for desert scenes, making it the second blockbuster since The Last Jedi (2017) to mix IMAX formats as well as the first Linus Sandgren-lensed film since 2015 to shoot digitally
Despite being shot entirely on film, including 15-perf 65mm which secured the film an exclusive 3-week IMAX run, Dune: Part Three will ostensibly be marketed as #FilmedforIMAX traditionally marked by the use of IMAX-certified digital cameras like its previous two installments
