Honored to be in this moment, providing support and listening to people’s stories. Grateful to stand with FAID in helping communities heal with dignity.
Floods not only destroy homes- they break spirits. FAID is providing psychosocial support to older women, men, and persons with disabilities so they can heal with dignity. Your support can help us reach more.

Early warning systems, local response teams, and community training—like the #CERTs in #Punjab and #Ghizar—are critical to saving lives through timely alerts, coordinated response, and empowered communities.
#Flood2025
In #Ghizer, when a glacial lake outburst created severe flooding, not a single life was lost, thanks to the working Early Warning System. This is living proof of why Pakistan must urgently scale alert systems, local response teams & community training nationwide #ClimateAction #Resilience #lessons

Help FAID bring safe drinking water, dignity, and hope to the flood affected families, especially older people, women, and people with disabilities.

HEC Chairperson’s eligibility criteria raise red flags:
• Experience requirement almost same as a professor — hardly a material for visionary leadership of close to 270 universities across the country.
• Age cap of 65 is age discrimination, especially when provincial HECs have no such limit. Leadership capability should be measured by vision, stamina, and track record — not by the date on a birth certificate.
• A two year term is too short for meaningful reforms. For a role tasked with setting the strategic direction of higher education, such a short term undermines continuity, institutional reforms, and long-term planning.
Our higher education sector needs long-term, strategic leadership — not unnecessary constraints that deter the best talent competing for the post.
