I did a thing! I made a website for 3D Blender artists and those wanting to learn!
I had searched for more Advent Calendars for December based on skills I am trying to learn more on.
Well there wasn’t a website for much and so I decided to make a website for December called Advent of Blender. It’s a site that you can rank up in the leaderboard and complete a daily blender challenge, post comments, likes, etc.
Made with Next js, typescript, appwrite, tailwind, imagekit, and maileroo. Deployed with Vercel.
If you are interested, please check it out and let me know if you find any issues.

If you are learning Swift, grab the course!
Thank you @StewartLynch for this generous offer!
I’ve released my entire multi-platform Smile4Me #Swift & #SwiftUI course for free.
It was a paid course on Teachable, but pricing changes made it impossible to keep offering it reasonably.

I love it when I help a student out!!
Yesterday a student came by asking about using vercel with his website that he worked on for somebody. I saw some issues and in about 15 minutes, I showed him how to use Vite/React and properly structure the folders for it to work. He came back today and he got it working! And his site looks so great. For a beginner, he did an amazing landing page for a client and earned himself $300 for it. I helped him do the domain on vercel and the site works flawlessly.
I feel like a proud mama bear! I love teaching!
I've been learning Blender and after trying...to follow tutorials...I decided to just jump in and try to make some assets.
Well i made a hand trowel and a hoe. Not too bad for learning.
My class was able to get this resolved with the help of @ftnabeelah from Cursor! Thank you for the help!! Now we get to experience Cursor for our projects!
In a class I am in, they wanted us to use Cursor. If you’re a student you can sign up for free for a year….well their system is all f’ed up. They use Sheer ID to verify that you’re a student but it doesn’t work!!!
You email Cursor of the issue and they tell you to talk to Sheer ID. Go to Sheer ID and show proof, errors, etc and they say keep trying but it has a limit in submission. You try again with Sheer ID and then they tell you that nothing they can do and close the help ticket.
So many students dealing with this and no help from both sides.
I won’t be using Cursor for the class, I’ll use Copilot, Gemini, or Claude in VS Code, at least I know that works!
