The key is to learn to decide you want to keep going, regardless of logic. That sounds trite and stupid, and yet it’s true. You have to be willing to let yourself be motivated irrationally.
in ur late 20s u have to learn to be delusionally optimistic and romanticize the fact that we only have days, hours - minutes possibly - remaining on this planet
once you turn 20 you have to fight everyday for the rest of your life to not lose your personality & spirit...bc what once came naturally to you will be exhausted into nothing if you don't actively Try. it's terrifyingly easy to become a lethargic, soulless adult
I’ve started appreciating days where nothing dramatic happens. no bad news, no stressful interactions, no overwhelming thoughts. just a normal, quiet day where everything is calm. those are the days that actually feel like rest.
btw in your 20's and 30’s you’ll start rediscovering the niche interests and hobbies you had as a kid. it’s very important you revisit them. your younger self was actually on to something.
Thank you to the sweet elderly woman who noticed I was buying a cake and engaged in a conversation about how old my little one was turning. I hope your grandson enjoys the celebration you're planning! I am so sorry that I bought this cake for an anime girl and lied to you.😭
