@umawrnkl this is not a thing everywhere. most places in the US just put ballots in the regular mail boxes. Oregon does exclusively mail-in ballots, with no in-person voting whatsoever, so there's more volume to handle, so Oregon decided to set up ballot drop boxes like that.
