Workers Strike Back member and UAW Local 974 Electrician Justin Smeltzer demands Peoria City Council members vote NO on the anti-worker grocery tax:

"I find it utterly despicable that Mayor Ali and the Democrats and Republicans on this city council have voted to impose a grocery tax on working people and poor people in Peoria....close to half of Black families in Peoria are in need of food assistance and 40% live at or below the poverty line....Shame on Democratic Governor Pritzker and the state elected officials who are 2/3 Democrat AND on the Peoria City Council who in this case has not even made an attempt to fight the Democrats refusal to Tax the Rich!"

BREAKING | Defense Secretary Shared Yemen Strike Details in Another Private Signal Chat

New York Times reports Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shared operational details about U.S. airstrikes in Yemen with a private Signal group that included his wife, brother, and personal lawyer.

➤ The chat, named “Defense | Team Huddle,” was created by Hegseth before his confirmation and accessed using his personal phone.
➤ On March 15, Hegseth reportedly posted the flight schedules of F/A-18 Hornets targeting Houthi sites in Yemen.
➤ This was the second Signal chat where Hegseth shared sensitive information. The first, revealed in March, accidentally included The Atlantic’s editor.
➤ Hegseth’s wife, a former Fox News producer, has no formal role in government but has joined him in sensitive meetings abroad.
➤ The chat also included top aides, two of whom—Dan Caldwell and Darin Selnick—were recently fired for leaking information.
➤ The Pentagon’s acting inspector general is investigating Hegseth’s conduct following bipartisan pressure from the Senate Armed Services Committee.
