@austinr2019 @FailingLang Demonstrations and protests always draw the anger of what they protest against, and unfortunately events like this occur sometimes, but that is the exact reason that movements like this are needed: to dismantle the culture that allows it and advocate for reform

@Sophia_p16 This reminds me of the "Self-Driving Car versus manually driven" debate where most people questioned the capabilities of such technology, but I think that the question of who would be able to afford this option and how it would stratify the effects of childcare/ upbringing

@Sophia_p16 This is the exact type of thing that public work taxes are intended to fund, because they are public construction projects that benefit the population. This cost is rather steep however, and private donations or funding would relieve some of the strain on the budget.

@laurenmcookie If employers were required to pay their employees a livable wage, tips wouldn't be necessary to supplement their income, and people in the food service industry wouldn't have to make sacrifices for tips.

@laurenmcookie With the new scandal or controversy about Trump emerging every other week, I think the people have become desensitized to his actions that would normally have led to serious repercussions. At this point, humorists capatalize on the ever growing ammunition that Trump provides.
