With conditions in Venezuela getting worse, its people are fleeing to countries like Brazil to seek refuge. Its sad that they have to leave their homeland but its probably one of the best options for them bc of Venezuela's economic crisis https://t.co/1uRekWiPCz #mchslang19
@real_mayapapaya It makes me happy too, and I really hope lawmakers listen to these teachers and start to fund the schools more so that the students are able to learn in a good enviornment
A caravan of immigrants have reached the border btw the US and Mexico and are currently waiting to seek asylum. Considering the large amount of people who hope to come into the US for safety, what is the best way to respond to this?https://t.co/zqfbriSJO2 #mchslang19
@_sleepykat_ I hope so too! It is our responsibility to take care of our enviornment and I hope other countries are motivated to act in the same way to preserve the beautiful ocean life
@A_bar_of_clay I agree, and I read other articles regarding this issue and even the conditions in some schools were terrible for both students and teachers, which goes to show that they deserve better since they take a lot of time out of their day to do things for the students and the school
Democrat senators require more info on the immigration chief before continuing with his nomination, but havent got what they wanted. It’s interesting bc the administration claims to prioritize immigration enforcement but they remain silent https://t.co/6GZIvLdl7q #mchslang19
@imjusthere4lang I think if there was more attention to prioritize the environment so that people are aware of this problem. And of course changing our habits as well, such as not letting water run while we are brushing our teeth will be a step towards to bettering our environment
@_sleepykat_ This is such an amazing idea! There’s a lack of women representation in STEM and encouraging girls to be interested in it at a young age is great!
Gabriela has been through a lot to provide safety for her and her two kids and she has been through a long journey. It goes to show that some immigrants are coming to the US safety from the terrible violence in their countries https://t.co/iHlsnae9lK #mchslang19
It’s eye-opening to think about how much blue light is around us and tht there’s a study showing it could lead to cancer. It’s good that some cities are replacing these lights w/ lights w/ lower temps to reduce the amount of blue light outside https://t.co/OJdl7XQbni #mchslang19
@austinr2019 I agree, I don’t think kids should think about the positives of slavery because it was not at all positive. There are definitely other ways of learning about slavery and I don’t think this one is right
@austinr2019 I thinking closing down the island will help prevent more damage to the island’s environmental state. And hopefully during the time it is closed down they start to clean up the island
This opinion article makes an interesting point: sending troops to the border is dangerous. It sends the wrong message to immigrants wanting to come to the US for safety. Is this the right way to deal with immigration? https://t.co/0jjZg8fDjK #mchslang19
Approximately 700 children have been separated from immigrants who claim to be their parents once they reach the border. In the past Trump administration said they do it to deter people from migrating to the US. Is this the right thing to do? https://t.co/Zia7LbG6Ai #mchslang19
@ash_inAP I think this should be able to expand to more just because a lot of young adults want to live in big cities to pursue careers and it would be much affordable for them to live in those cities
It’s interesting that the rule for not collecting a state’s sale tax if a company doesnt have a business in that state has caused states to ask congress to reconsider it because they are losing money they can use, thoughts? https://t.co/7XsfPMzABj #mchslang19
These laws that protect defenseless children were created to keep them safe. It is important that this article mentions past events where children were held in terrible conditions because getting rid of these laws is an ignorance of history https://t.co/sT10Et7IlF #mchslang19
@imjusthere4lang I agree, we are living on Earth and it should be our responsibility to take care of the environment and as you said implement eco-friendly policies to ensure our environment does not continue to weaken
@Frances26023258 This just shows that providing teachers with guns isnt the solution because there are many things that could go wrong if a teacher is does not have the gun with them for the duration of a school day. And there would be a tense relationship btw students and teachers
