Yet, if you are willing to speculate about her mind, why not factor in her prior actions (psych hospital on NYEve, asking to sleep w/mom, begging for help) & statements (intrusive thoughts, broken brain)?

But thoughtful people are considering the choices & actions, including the drugs prescribed, that led to the final horrific outcome, specifically for the purpose of preventing future disaster.

@JBB4768 @crystaljpropes Many of these type comments are coming from men. This notion, that anyone, anywhere, has suggested Lindsay Clancy is a “hero” is the counterpart to the notion that she didn’t do it.
Sad to see such loud voices of extremism; especially when the rational voices seem so quiet.

Devoted, engaged, mother for over 5 years, deteriorated over a 4-month period, and lived paralyzed, in a mental health facility for 3 years.

Or, and hear me out, OR, they’re the eyes of a mother who fought a mental battle, was drugged and almost murdered and lost her beloved and darling children. Then, after waking from surgery and coding twice she was handcuffed and told she did and a warrant was already for her arrest. And her husband had forgiven her and moved on with 1.4 million dollars. AND since then she has been medicated daily in a mental hospital. Maybe, just MAYBE, that’s what her eyes are telling us.

I think the fact that the prosecution could not find a single person who knew her to say anything bad about Lindsay Clancy as a mother or even as a person… coupled with the fact that the Clancy family all clearly still support and love her… is what ultimately doomed this case.

There’s a handful of different angles I think the prosecutors could’ve pursued, esp regarding her willful misuse of her prescribed psychotropics (like… why TF wouldn’t you pound THAT home instead of just trying to claim she was barely taking them at all? Erratic usage is literally linked to exasperated side effects, why not treat this as more of a “psychosis from recreational drug use” instead of pretending the drugs weren’t a thing at all?)

But ultimately it was the Clancy family showing up day in and day out, sitting behind her, supporting her, that likely convinced those 11 jurors that something truly terrible happened in that woman’s mind that night and if the people who should hate her more than anything don’t then she’s probably telling the truth about not being in control of herself.

I don’t know, I don’t have any emotional attachment to this case. I just think it’s a tragedy and even if she’s acquitted she’ll still be living in hell for the rest of her life. So I guess I just don’t understand the hyperemotional freak outs so many people are having, on both sides, bc everyone still loses in this absolute nightmare of a situation, regardless of what the jury decides.

Incorrect - 4 drugs found in her bloodstream post infanticide /suicide attempt -mirtazapine, lamotrigine, trazadone, quetiapine. The first 3 carry 'hallucination' warnings, the 4th delirium. Don't be misled by 'therapeutic dose'- toxic after effects like #PSSD can last years.
