Thrilled to present our work at ACC 2026 as a Moderated Oral Presentation, with simultaneous publication in JACC EP.
Excited to share our retrospective cohort study comparing GLP-1 receptor agonists vs bariatric surgery in patients with obesity undergoing AF ablation.
🧠 Key Findings:
• Lower AF readmissions
• Lower HF readmissions
• Lower all-cause readmissions
• Lower all-cause mortality
• Lower antiarrhythmic drug use
• No significant difference in stroke, redo ablation, or cardioversion
These findings support the potential role of GLP-1RAs as an adjunctive strategy after AF ablation.

In dialysis-dependent ESRD patients, leadless pacemakers were associated with fewer device re-interventions vs transvenous pacemakers over 5 years, with similar mortality and complication rates.

In a large real-world cohort of patients with HCM and AF, catheter ablation was associated with fewer HF exacerbations and reduced AAD-related adverse events compared with medical therapy along with lower all-cause mortality.

Featured on @GoHealio after our Moderated Oral Presentation at ACC26 and simultaneous publication in JACC EP: in patients with obesity undergoing AF ablation, GLP-1 receptor agonists were associated with significantly lower AF readmission, HF hospitalization, all-cause readmission, and mortality compared with bariatric surgery.

Among obese patients undergoing catheter ablation for #AFib, post-ablation GLP-1RA therapy was associated with better long-term outcomes than bariatric surgery, including lower AF readmission, HF readmission, all-cause readmission, and mortality in a propensity-matched cohort. These findings highlight the potential role of GLP-1RAs as an adjunct in rhythm management strategies and support the need for prospective randomized trials.

Excited to share our cross-sectional study on the Prevalence & Characteristics of Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) in Glaucoma Patients published in @SN_Ophthalmol
🧠 Key Findings:
• CBS prevalence: 11.5% in glaucoma patients
• Occurs even with relatively good visual acuity
• Often misdiagnosed as psychiatric illness
• Common hallucinations: simple visual phenomena (lines, flickers)
• Significant psychosocial impact & reduced quality of life
Our findings highlight the need for greater clinician awareness, early identification, and patient counseling to avoid misdiagnosis & improve outcomes.

Excited to share our retrospective cohort study in @AmJCardio on Adjunctive Thrombectomy during PCI in STEMI!
🧠 Key Findings:
• No increased risk of stroke at 30 days or 1 year.
• No difference in all-cause mortality.
• No difference in the utilization of MCS (IABP, Imeplla and ECMO) at 30 days.
• Higher 1-year HF readmissions with thrombectomy.
While routine use is not supported, findings endorse selective use based on thrombus burden, clinical context & procedural complexity.
