Seattle police ghostwrote a 2020
opinion piece @Crosscut that appeared under the name of a Harvard scholar. When head at @Crosscut found out SPD was heavily involved in writing piece, he just deleted the story. Not how it works ? https://t.co/U0Mm4c4rEs
At the end of May @Crosscut parent company, @CascadePubMedia , decided to lay off 5 women, two of us women of color working in communities that have historically been misrepresented and/or systematically excluded in media coverage in the past.

I’ve lost count of the number of rebrands and pivots at @CascadePubMedia. Women and women of color losing their jobs is the price of poor management. I stand with my former colleagues at @Crosscut_Union @Crosscut
Yesterday, Crosscut’s parent company (@CascadePubMedia) announced it intends to lay off five newsroom employees, effective July 1, and replace them with additional video and podcast producers.
