After Capt Saurabh Kalia's patrol went missing, Capt Amit led a search party of 30 soldiers. They too came under intense enemy fire from the hilltop near Bajrang post

Knowing they were outnumbered and there was no escape, Capt Amit ordered his men to return to Base while he stayed back to engage in counter fire so that his men would not be followed/ killed
